Another Hot Weekend

Hello All,

I hope you are having a good weekend and the weather is as nice is it is here in Christchurch. Our weekend started off well with Auntie Joan babysitting Brook on Friday night and we went out for tea. Joan spoils Brook, this time she brought around a heap of kids books and a video from the library. By the sounds of things they both enjoyed themselves. We had a nice meal and time out too.

It is the weekend for visitors with Joss’s friend Alison from Hamilton calling through on Saturday and now Joss’s Mum is staying with us. We’ve just spent the morning joining the masses at the Riccarton market where Joss had to be rather refrained with her buying. Joss, Jaine, and Brook are off shopping again and I am doing a bit of my consulting work trying to make the most of the free time.

Later,
Cam.

Joss's First Blog

Well hello everyone. Cam has been nagging (thought only woman did that) me to write something for our new web site for a while now…so here I am. Cam has spent a lot of time developing our new redesigned website and its not looking too bad, just a bit short on content at this stage. Hopefully we should get some new pictures on here soon.

Brook and I have been having a gardening and craft day today. We have just spent the morning creating a new mosaic paver for the garden and although Brook is not always helpful he is always enthusiastic! This afternoon we are planning to go for a walk and then do a bit of a tidy up in the garden. The other day when we went for a walk these two joggers went running past and Brook took off running after them, it was very cute.

The other interesting news we have is that Dad has been scheduled in for his hip replacement in April. So we are all pleased about that and he’s only been on the waiting list for about 6 months, not bad really. I’m not sure what kind of patient he will make though, not a very good one I suspect!

Anyway enough from me for now, Brook is getting a bit bored and making typing difficult

Catch you soon.
Joss.

Another Great Weekend

We hope you all had a good weekend. Our weekend was quite good, finishing off a few more house jobs and spending Sunday at Birdlings Flat.

Brook loved playing in all the stones at Birdlings Flat – it is like a huge gravel pit with all different size stones. The stones are amazingly flat and we carted a couple of buckets worth home to go in a new garden patch. The sea is quite dangerous as the beach slopes down real fast. A bigger than expected wave can mean you are suddenly up to your knees in water. Brook is always keen on the water making it quite hard to keep him out.

Joss is off playing indoor netball so we men are off for a quick game of Quake, catch you later.

Hello Again

Hello All,
Welcome to the newly designed website. We hope you like it. The underlying house theme was Joss’s idea. As our house is one of our main projects, we thought it was a really smart way to structure our site. The implementing took a while as Cam decided to take the opportunity to learn a few new web design tricks. So hopefully the site looks great on your browser – some of the features require newer browsers.

Anyway, now things are under way, we’ll get the content up in no time, so come back soon.
Cam, Joss, & Brook

New Website

Hello All,
It looks the same but it is now brought to you by Paradise.net so hopefully I managed to get it all right in the transfer process because paradise.net does things differently than our old provider.

Anyway it is late so I am going to keep this short – yes I know I have not updated the site in ages and have promised new photos blah blah blah… tough I just have not done it. I will do it, any day now.

About time too

Hello All,
Sorry it has been a long time since I’ve updated our site. I have heaps that I want to do with it that I don’t seem to even make the time for the small updates – silly really.

So what has been happening? Well you’ll all know know by other means that we’ve moved back to Christchurch and are in the house we brought a few years back. It is good to be back but we do miss having my parents close by. Joss is usually flat out in the garden and is pleased to be able to make major changes (flatting is just not the same). Brook loves to help but his version of moving the dirt is to eat it. So that does move it but fills up his nappies twice as quickly.

In surprisingly little time Joss has the garden under control and in a similar state to when we left two years ago – just minus the plants that died under the tenants that where here. We have started a few indoor jobs but are waiting really on us formulating an end plan. I’ve been flat out at work and am really enjoying it even though most days I open a new can of worms.

Enough for now,
Cam, Joss, & Brook

The Big News!

Hello All,
For a wee while now, we’ve been hinting that there was some big news coming up. Things have been finalised now so we can spill the beans…

We are moving back to Christchurch!

I accepted a job offer today and you’d never guess where – yip back at Christchurch City Council. Yeah yeah I know we only left CCC in August 2000. Stranger things have happened at sea (or so I’ve been told from the Young Ones). Anyway the job starts on the 25th of March so we’ve got a lot of things to organise before then.

The decision to move was very difficult with my parents living here and the job at ICC was good. But we both wanted to get back to our house in Christchurch and this new job leads me more in the computer field. It is all very exciting and nerve racking at the same time – like moving away from home the first time. We get to be back in our house but we lose the support from my parents (very helpful when you have children of your own). Flip side is we will see Joss’s parents more.

So that is our big news. I know you are all disappointed that the news was not that I’d put all our new photos on the site, but that will come sometime soon.

Quick Update

Hello All,
Just a quick note to say to expect some interesting news from us – hopefully this week. Plus I’ve made a small modification to the site design so you can view the news updates from the home page.

Catch you later,
Cam

ps I’ve started scanning in our Xmas photos so will hope to have them up in a couple of weeks too.
